Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi has predicted a massive win for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party in the August 8 general election.
Wamatangi says that President Kenyatta will win re-election by over 70 per cent.
Speaking to journalists at Kiambu Town after touring various IEBC voter registration centres on Tuesday, the senator said that Kenyans have hope in President Kenyatta’s government development agenda.
“We (Jubilee) are confident that President Kenyatta will win re-election by a bigger vote in the August 8 polls,” he said.
The Kiambu senator said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) being fronted by the opposition has no chance of winning against Uhuru in August.
The senator said that the opposition cannot match Jubilee numbers saying that they should prepare for a humiliating defeat in the August election.
Wamatangi accused the opposition of using propaganda and ill tactics to gain political support among Kenyans.
“The opposition is only good at propaganda nothing else,” he said, adding that Jubilee will campaign even in the opposition strongholds to woo for votes.
“We have planned to traverse the country including the perceived opposition strongholds to sale the Jubilee agenda ahead of the August polls,” he added.
The senator at the same time called on politicians across the political divided to exercise political maturity and preach peace in their campaigns.
