Jubilee Party loyalists in Nyanza have moved to assure area residents that Jubilee administration was still committed to their welfare.

Led by former Karachuonyo MP James Rege, the leaders said President Uhuru Kenyatta will not abandon the locals despite the region not participating in the fresh election.

"President Kenyatta will steer clear of politics and focus on developing all parts of the country, irrespective of who voted for him or did not," Rege told Daily Nation.

IEBC postponed October 26 repeat poll in Kisumu, Siaya, Migori and Homa Bay counties after violence broke out on voting day.

Central Nyanza Jubilee official Steve Mwanga said they were expecting Uhuru to appoint local leaders to his government so they can push Jubilee's agenda in the area perceived as NASA stronghold.

"We shall spur economic growth in the region through political appointments we are expecting from the government," said Mwanga, 2007 Ugenya parliamentary seat hopeful.
