President Uhuru Kenyatta would be re-elected for a second term if elections were held today.

According to the latest IPSOS survey, 48 per cent of Kenyans would vote for Uhuru, while his closest rival Raila Odinga commands a 42 per cent of the vote share.

There is however positives from the polls for NASA camp, with the 42 per cent a 12 improvement compared to the last polls.

Majority of NASA supporters feel the country is headed in the wrong direction; with harsh economic times being the highlight.

The survey comes at a time when both camps; Jubilee and Nasa have hit top gear, with elections only a few weeks away.

Both President Kenyatta and Nasa leader Raila Odinga have presented their papers before the IEBC, and subsequently cleared to run for the top seat.
