Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) secretary general Francis Atwoli has called on president Uhuru Kenyatta to fire his current political advisors.

He said they were mis-advising him, therefore costing his political career.

Citing the recent canceled tours to Meru, Tharaka Nithi counties and the Western Kenya region, Atwoli said people who advises the president were 'incompetent'.

"Look how his tour was cancelled. The president plans to tour Meru, it get cancelled. He plans to tour Western region, it gets cancelled. How can you cancel two presidential trips in a week and expect everything to be okay? If I were the president, I would look for other people to advise me,'' he said during JKL show.

He also cited Mombasa governor Hassan Joho's tribulations, saying persons advising him to harass the governor were misplaced.

"You don't advise the president to fight his juniours. This people are costing Uhuru's re-election,'' he warned, Wednesday.
