Suleiman Shabhal, a Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant, has launched an attack on Kalonzo for accepting to play second fiddle to Raila Odinga.
The vocal politician said that Odinga is a perennial loser, adding that Kalonzo has no hope of becoming the president if he continues walking with him.
“My brother Kalonzo told me to wait because Raila had promised him the presidency. I told him Raila is a perennial liar, but he never listened. Look at what happened,” Shahbal said.
The aspirant also said that he had asked Kalonzo not to back Raila for the seat but contest only for him not to listen to his words. He also said that he is happy to be part of Jubilee, which he says is a winning team.
“In the last meeting with Kalonzo at his Yatta home, I told him to declare that he will run for the country’s top seat. He said we should wait. I said after I leave the meeting, I will never look back. I will join the winning team Jubilee,” he added.
