Understandably, a group of politicians allied to DP William Ruto have dismissed ongoing fight against graft, with some leveling it to witch-hunt against the DP's ambitions.

"I do support lifestyle audit and it will be important if it is backdated to have even Jomo Kenyatta's wealth review," said Oscar Sudi, in reference to Uhuru's family.

Last week, Ruto's confidant Samson Cherargei, threatened that the camp will also unleash on Uhuru's 'kitchen' cabinet if they continued with witch-hunt tactics.

But outspoken Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu now says the DP is afraid of the audit thus the murmurs from his lieutenants.

"Sudi doesn't s[peak for himself. So when he says lifestyle audit to start with Jomo, he is speaking for someone. Personally, I think others is 'Tanga Tanga squad," he said.

He added: "It's simple, they are afraid. They should know that lifestyle audit means we check what you have now and what you had before joining public office," he wrote on FB.

At Mombasa on Thursday, Uhuru insisted that all public servants will undergo lifestyle audit to ascertain their source of wealth.
