A day after President Uhuru Kenyatta apologised to the nation during the historical State of the Nation address, more leaders have poked hole into his move.

In his address, Uhuru said he is ready to work with all leaders from across the political divide days after reconciling with Raila Odinga.

"If there is anyone who feels offended by me or who I hurt last year, kindly forgive me," said Uhuru in a fully packed parliament.

His reconciliation with Raila has seen the country recover from one of the worst post election crisis since 2007.

And after West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi rubbished the move, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi says the apology means nothing to those who lost their loved ones.

"The apology means nothing to those whose families lost lives through extrajudicial killings. It means nothing to those who were injured.

"Perhaps it should have come with compensation and that is the spirit. I don't see anything to celebrate about," he said.
