President Uhuru Kenyatta launched a scathing attack on Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka during his tour in Western Kenya. The head of State claimed that Kalonzo is scouting to be nominated into the senate after the forthcoming general elections.

"Mwenzetu Kalonzo amepatiwa vice president lakini amejiweka list ya kuwa senate (Our brother Kalonzo has been picked as deputy president but he has also included his name in the list of senate nominees)," Uhuru said amid laughter, as quoted by Tuko.co.ke.

The former  vice president rubbished the claims terming them baseless, adding that it pure propaganda.

The remarks of the Ukambani political kingpin were reiterated by Mbita MP  Millie Odhiambo who said that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his side are desperate as we near the August general elections. He asked the head of state to retire in peace instead of spreading falsehoods.

"Jubilee is very desperate. Why does Uhuru have to lie about Kalonzo Retire in peace," Millie said.

The President made the claims at a time when both the opposition and Jubilee are drumming up for support ahead of the August general elections. Both Raila and Uhuru have remained perturbed that they will emerge winners in the August polls.
