President Uhuru Kenyatta's family has come out to praise his pact with NASA leader Raila Odinga saying it opens another chapter for Kenya.
Led by Uhuru's elder sister Christine Wambui, the family says that the President's 'wisdom' will go far in saving the country from further leadership crisis.
"We are behind the President's decision to unite Kenya together with Raila Odinga. This is the way to go for Kenya since the kind of politics we have witnessed in the past one year are not good for Kenya. We need to save Kenya for posterity," Wambui said.
Wambui at the same time called on Kenyans to rally behind the two leaders while supporting their decision to unite Kenya.
"We should thank our God that this unity has happened in our country at this decisive moment. Who could have thought that such a thing would happen? Let us show our gratitude to God by respecting this noble agreement between the President and Raila Odinga," she added.
Wambui was speaking in Kiambu Town on Sunday during a church function.
