President Uhuru Kenyatta began his first day in office after being sworn-in officially for the second term by holding talks with South Sudan President Salva Kiir and Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy.
China is currently Kenya’s biggest trading partner and a major investor, with interests ranging from construction to apparels and technology.
The Chinese message to Uhuru was that the People Republic of China will continue to work with Kenya ensure development progresses.
“My visit signifies the Republic of China and the Communist Party of China’s support for Kenya and your government,” said Wang.
On his part, Kenyatta thanked the Chinese government for the support they have accorded to Kenya mostly in the transport infrastructure.
