Richard Onyonka has described President Uhuru Kenyatta’s impeding tour to Gusii region as ‘meaningless’ adding that it will add ‘nothing’ to his voting basket.
Kenyatta is scheduled to address a series of rallies in Kisii County on Tuesday before wrapping up his tour in Nyamira on Wednesday.
But the former ODM MP warns that Gusii region will still vote for Raila Odinga given the unfulfilled promises of Jubilee administration.
“I think his tour is meaningless given that he had a chance to transform the region but failed to do that,” said Onyonka adding that Kenyatta had failed to tackle woes of coffee and tea farmers.
The Kitutu Chache South MP added: “The ground has shifted and I doubt even if he is going to get 25 percent of votes. This is a NASA territory.”
Kenyatta is scheduled to address rallies at Keroka, Keumbu, Jogoo, Nyatieko, Nyakoe, Suneka and Tabaka before wrapping up his tour in Nyamira.
Prior to his defection to Ford Kenya, Onyonka who had cut links with ODM, briefly worked with Jubilee administration.
