Jubilee Party leaders have embarked on plans to ensure thousands of supporters will tomorrow troop to Moi Sports Complex, Kasarani for the inauguration of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.
Leaders from various parts of the country have organised travel plans to ferry supporters to the big event.
Majority of the ruling party supporters have made private arrangements to attend the much-awaited ceremony.
Sirisia Member of Parliament John Weluke said 15 buses in his constituency had been hired to transport backers to Nairobi.
"We want to make sure Uhuru's swearing-in gets record attendance," the MP said.
Not to be left behind, Nandi and Uasin Gishu MPs told The Standard that several buses, matatus and private cars would ferry supporters to the event.
"More than 50 buses and matatus will ferry supporters from Nandi. People made the decision to travel from ward level and some are willing to meet their cost," said Aldai MP Cornelly Serem.
Other legislators from DP Ruto’s backyard making similar plans are Vincent Tuwei (Mosop), Julius Melly (Tinderet) and Caleb Kositany (Soy).
"Residents will be joining other Kenyans in celebrating the event. The swearing-in ceremony was overdue," said Melly.
