President Uhuru Kenyatta's solicitor nominee Kennedy Ogeto was approved by the National Assembly.
MPs approved the nominee after being vetted by the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee last week.
His name was fronted by Justice and Legal Committee chair William Cheptmo, who also doubles as Baringo North MP.
“I interacted with Kennedy Ogeto at the International Criminal Court where he was representing our leaders.
"Ogeto is a very refined, decent and seasoned lawyer. I urge this House to support this nominee,” Aden Duale said.
During the vetting, Ogeto promised to reduce the President's litigations in order to save the tax payer's money.
He said that if he will be confirmed, he will select a competent staff in the AG's office in order to defend the Government in courts.
