Senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has disagreed with Interior CS Fred Matiang'i over the manner in which lawyer Miguna Miguna's matter is being handled.
According to Ahmednasir, Miguna has the right to come back even though he has done wrong and unlawful things.
However, the renowned lawyer faulted the number of Court orders the Interior Ministry has overlooked and ignored that have called for the return of Miguna in the country.
"I sympathise with government of officials like my good friend Fred Matiangi on this Miguna Miguna saga. First, no one doubts/dispute the right of this miscreant to come back home...but how many orders and how many judges have granted the same order for his return? Overkill?" reiterated Ahmednasir.
When appearing before the Parliamentary's Security Committee, Matiang'i maintained that he has not received any Court orders concerning the Miguna drama.
On his return into the country on March 26, Miguna was ordered to either produce his Canadian passport or fill forms to 'regularize' his citizenship for him to be allowed back into the country.
Immigration PS Gordon Kihalangwa has maintained that if the lawyer does abide by the set laws and regulations then he will not be allowed back into the country.
