Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has raised concerns over failure of the government to swith on three major TV stations despite an existing court order.

This is after the government defied a court order to restore the signals of NTV, Citizen TV and KTN News.

The government suspended the TV signals following the media stations' disregardon orders that prohibited live coverage and airing of the NASA oathing ceremony atUhuru Park.

“When there is a court order you don’t obey, you look like a rogue state,” Ahmednasir said in a report published by New York Post.

The lawyer has represented President Uhuru Kenyatta during the presidential election petition.

Through his Twitter handle, Mr Ahmednasir urged the government to obey court orders no matter how aggrieved and unhappy it is.

"There have been different voices of concern following the continued shutdown of the three TV stations by thegovernment and the alleged plans to arrest some journalists," he tweeted.
