President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 2013 election petition lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi says the president has to overhaul his inner circle if he is to be seen as an advocate of change.
Saying that election campaigns are in full throttle, he said that CORD is running away with the narrative and that Uhuru shouldn't waste time on "development projects”.
In a series of tweets on Sunday, Ahmednasir said, “HE Uhuru needs to reboot urgently. How? Reshuffle cabinet & drop 50%...the deadwood. Arrest top CID officers who do extrajudicial killings.
He also called for the arrest and mass trial of those involved in the mega projects and beneficiaries of what he called 10% (presumable kickbacks for the projects being implemented currently).
“Kenya lost about 300 soldiers to Shabab heads (should) roll in DOD”
The ‘Grand Mullah' who does not see Kenya improving with Justin Muturi as Speaker, he called on the president to replace the speaker and others who are closest to his operations.
In 2014, Ahmednasir wrote an opinion in the Nation saying: “The government’s misfortunes are the sole creation of the new face of impunity, the Speaker of Parliament. His tenure as Speaker has been a calamitous and sacrilegious defilement of the Constitution. He has, in a mere 12 months, reduced the August House into a smouldering rubble of parliamentary tomfoolery. In a single year, he has made Parliament a rogue institution unaccountable to anyone.”
He added that the burden on Muturi’s shoulders “makes his knees crack and give in and, as he tumbles and sinks, he will take many with him. Muturi has all the shortcomings of a man out of his depth clowning on a national stage with the Kenyan population watching in utter bewilderment.”
The bare-knuckled lawyers concluded, “Without rebooting HE Uhuru will be branded the status quo and inertia of today. These are the emergency doctor's prescription. Take it.”
