President Uhuru Kenyatta's presidential petition lawyer, Ahamednasir Abdullahi, has strongly dismissed the Supreme Court ruling, that nullified Kenyatta's win.
Speaking to the press moments after the court made the ruling Friday afternoon, Ahamednasir said the ruling was political."My client (Uhuru) wants to see how the said irregularities would obliterate the 1.4 million votes lead he had. They've made a political decision, not a legal decision," said the flamboyant lawyer.According to him, petitioner, the National Super Alliance (Nasa) did not produce evidence that the election was flawed, but the court invalidated Uhuru's win.
"The court has made political ruling, my client was elected fairly," he added.
The verdict was a reprieve to Odinga, after he protested the elections, saying Uhuru colluded with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to subvert his victory.
