As several Jubilee leaders want the Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to be impeached over allegations that he has failed to lead the county, lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has a different thought.
According the lawyer, impeaching Mike Sonko is not enough for the governor but he should also be arrested and taken to prison.
Through his twitter account on Friday, Ahmednasir said that the Nairobi governor should go and finish his jail term adding that it is the right thing to do.
“It is wrong to impeach Hon Gov Sonko. It is right to send him back to prison so that he serves the reminder of his jail term,” posted the lawyer.
The senior counsel has been lauching attacks on Sonko saying that he has killed the Nairobi county and therefore it should be disbanded.
This follows nomination of Dr. Miguna Miguna by Sonko as the deputy governor something that has landed him into hot soup and risk of losing is gubernatorial seat.
According to Jubilee vice Chairman David Murathe, Sonko has failed and therefore the Jubilee party is planning to impeach him.
However, Murathe’s statements have been refuted by Nairobi MCAs during a press conference saying that he is not the spokesman for Jubilee party.
