Among the crimes he wants the UK government charged with include mass murder, forceful deportation and torture.

"I have analysed the case and it meets the threshold of crimes against humanity. I will move in speed to ensure they are compensated,' he said last week at an interview.

The celebrated lawyer added: "We have witnesses lined up for the case and we expect a victory after all."

It is not the first time a section of Kenyan population is suing UK government given that in 2014, Mau Mau fighters were awarded millions as compensation following a similar case filed by lawyer Gitubo Imanyara.

Apparently, it will be the first unique case that will involve complainants against a specific government at the ICC based at The Hague.

In 2015, Khan entered historical books for winning a case against a sitting president, Uhuru Kenyatta, and since then, his love for the country is impeccable.

Before taking on Uhuru's case, Khan successfully represented Deputy President William Ruto at the same court.
