The Garissa Township member of parliament on Friday thanked the Jubilee government for the rural electrification project that is taking his county by storm.
According to Mr. Duale, the Jubilee administration through its electrification project is focused on building an equitable society for all Kenyans regardless of their social status.
"Thanks to the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president William Ruto for investing and opening up Nothern Kenya to development," said Mr. Duale through his twitter handle.
The electricity installation in Garissa county which was done by the Ministry of Energy and Kenya Power and Lightning Company through the 'Last Mile Connectivity Programme' is an initiative by the government to improve security and steer development in the county.
The Leader of the Majority in the National Assembly expressed his pride in the progress and impact the whole project is making in his area.
"Am proud to say that 95% of my constituency is connected to electricity," said Mr. Duale.
The member of parliament went ahead to post a photo of a homestead being connected with electricity. What is shocking is the kind of the homestead the MP posted which is a manyatta house and next to it are Kenya Power electricians trying to work on it.
"This is a homestead in Baraka village near Korakora Divisional Headquarters, Garissa Township constituency," boasted Mr. Duale
