President Uhuru Kenyatta has said that he is ready to unite Kenyans after the Supreme Court ruling that upheld his October 26 election win.
Through State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu, Uhuru stated that he will treat Kenyans who voted for him as well as those who who opposed him as equal.
Manoah was speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday at Harambee House in Nairobi.Esipisu further confirmed that Uhuru will be sworn in on Tuesday at the Kasarani Stadium.
"The President would like to assure all Kenyans, those who voted for him and those who did not, that he will be their President, a President for allKenyans. No one should fear that they will be marginalized or penalized for their political choice," he continued said.
He also reiterated that President Kenyatta was committed to protecting Kenyan lives and property while expressing regretover property lost during recent political activities.
President Kenyatta also thanked the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for conducting an electionunder what he described as 'difficult circumstances'.
