President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Jubilee aspirants for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat to work together and ensure the seat is delivered to the ruling coalition.
The Head of State who was speaking when he toured Kenyatta market on Monday said that the aspirants should respect the will of the people and support the candidate who clinches the nomination.
"Weather they pick Margaret Wanjiru , Mike Sonko, Johnson Sakaja or any other candidate for the Jubilee ticket we will have to respect the people's decision," said Uhuru.
He urged the candidates to rally behind one aspirant to ensure the lucrative seat is snatched from the opposition Cord.
During the tour President Uhuru Kenyatta was accompanied by Mathare MP Stephen Kariuki, Starehe's Maina Kamanda, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, Women Representative Racheal Shebesh and nominated lawmaker Johnson Sakaja.
Sonko, Sakaja, Dogoretti Mp Dennis Waweru, Water Eugene Wamalwa, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, former speaker Kenneth Marende, former Nairobi town clerk Philip Kisia and political analyst Miguna Miguna have declared an interest in the Capital's top seat.
