President Uhuru Kenyatta has extended an olive branch to NASA leader Raila Odinga urging the former Prime Minister to work with him in building the nation.
Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya after moments after being declared winner of the Tuesday general election, President Kenyatta said that politics is all about competition where there is a winner and a loser.
Uhuru said that he and Raila are not emenies, adding that he is ready to work with Raila and other NASA leaders for the interests of Kenyans.
"I am extending a hand of friendship to my brother Raila Odinga and urge him to work and partner with me in building this country,'' President Uhuru said.
Uhuru was declared the winner of the general elction garnering 8.2 million votes against Raila's 6.8 million votes.
The opposition has rejected the presidential results claming alleged rigging.
The opposition leaders alo snubbed the declaration of Uhuru as the winner of elctions at the Bomas of Kenya.
NASa claims that IEBC servers were allegedly hacked into and that the results is not a reflection of Kenyans verdict.
NASA has not shown any sign of disputing the presidential results in court.n
International observer groups have given IEBC a thumbs up saying the elction was free, fairfair and credible.
