President elect Uhuru Kenyatta had a special message to his fierce competitor in the just concluded elections Raila Odinga. Uhuru welcomed Odinga to join hands and build Kenya together. He said he is ready to work with Raila’s supporters and political friends.

“To our brothers who were worthy competitors, we are not enemies but children of one nation. In any competition, we have winners and losers…Kenyans want us to succeed. I reach out to you, the general opposition and all your supporters that we are all together in building our nation,” President Uhuru said.

Uhuru Kenyatta also urged Kenyans to embrace peace. He said that politicians should come second after one’s neighbor.

“Elections come and go, Kenya is here to stay. Always remember we are brothers and sisters. Let us be peaceful. Politicians come and go but your neighbor is your neighbor,” he added.
