As people around the world continue to celebrate International Women's day President Kenyatta has sent a touching message to his wife.
Kenyatta joins thousands of Kenyans who have taken on social media platforms to celebrate women in their lives.President Uhuru has also revealed where she the first lady on his tweet.He says that she met her in company of Late father during a swimming day-out.
"I first met Margaret when I was out swimming with my father and he nudged me to befriend her. I have now known her for most of my life. She is my friend, partner and strong supporter. Strong and successful women make a strong and successful Kenya. Happy International #WomensDay," Kenyatta tweeted.
This comes few hours after the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta disclosed that she was hosting a meeting with a group women leaders at State House.
Among the notable public figures in the political arena are Embattled Embakasi Mp Babu Owino and Nairobi County Mp Esther Pasaris.
This is not the first time Kenyatta has shared a romantic message to his wife on social media.He once shared a romantic congratulatory message after he completed 'Beyond zero' marathon.
