Kalonzo Musyoka has yet again dismissed claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party has been courting him to ditch the opposition outfit NASA ahead of August polls.
Recently, Musyoka, who also head Wiper Party, was accused by a section of opposition bloggers of allegedly holding secret talks with Kenyatta in Mombasa.
And a spirited Kalonzo on Sunday said he would try his luck in opposition and vowed to support whoever wins nominations.
“I know Uhuru has millions and they cannot sway my allegiance. I am firmly in NASA to stay because this is the only way we can rescue our country,” he told thousands of his supporters at Tendere in Kisii.
Musyoka, who has already been cleared by Wiper party to contest for presidency added: “Jubilee has no vision for this country and I am ready to sacrifice to have them out of power.”
With only five months to elections, sources within the opposition have accused National Assembly Minority leader Francis Nyenze of stagnating technical committee talks hence delaying naming of NASA’s flag bearer.
Nyenze a right hand man of Kalonzo has maintained that the party would only remain in NASA if Kalonzo is named a flag bearer.
