Failure of the political outfit to resolve the matter is likely to lead to fallout among members in a region which is considered a National Super Alliance Stronghold.
Addressing the press in Machakos town on Wednesday, Lemi Muia, said that the nomination list is a clear show of nepotism.
The lawmaker, who lost to Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua, cited one Antony Mulu whose name featured in the Kenya Gazette yet he claims his name was not on the initial list presented to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The lawmaker said that it is shocking to see names of politicians who are not even voters of the region nominated to top position.
He called upon the party’s top brass to reconsider names presented for nominations to avoid fallout in the political outfit ahead of the Supreme Court ruling scheduled this Friday.
“I am surprised. “There seem to be changes in the list. The nominee is not a voter in Machakos County,” he said, as quoted by Star.
Jubilee Party has continued to hit the headlines over nominations rows in different parts of the nation including their strongholds.
