Kitui Jubilee campaigns are not only non inclusive but also discriminatory, Wamama Uhuruto group has lamented. According to The Star, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto stand minimal chances of winning extra votes from the region if nothing is done to quell the storm brewing up in the region.
In a press statement read out to the media by their Chairperson Esther Ndile the women said that the campaigners of the President have not done much to ensure that he retains power after the fresh election. The leaders are now calling upon the party’s top brass to take into account their plight to form a team that will counter the influence of NASA in the region
“If as lead Jubilee campaigners in Kitui are carrying out genuine campaigns for the president’s re-election and at the same time are blotting out key components as this team we ate left begging for answers,” said the statement, as quoted by the local daily.
She also lamented that the party has sidelined potential campaigners at the expense of persons for ways to earn money from rallies.
“Key Jubilee ground supporters and Foot soldiers have been completely and totally been left out once more,” said Ndile.
