President Uhuru Kenyatta has resorted to political dominance in a bid to finish National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate, Raila Amolo Odinga, renowned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has said.
According to Tuko.co.ke, Ngunyi argues that the head of State is trying all means to ensure that he retains power after the October 26 Presidential election.
The pundit was speaking through his students in reference to the electoral reforms. The Jubilee side wants to take advantage of the majority in parliament to amend election laws.
The ruling side argues that the changes will block loopholes that led to the cancellation of the Presidential election by the Supreme Court.
On their part, opposition leader opines that Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto are hatching a plot to remain in power unconstitutionally. Ngunyi further says that Jubilee is no longer ready for dialogue anymore following what transpired at the Supreme Court.
"During a political crisis you do not build consensus through dialogue, you build consensus through dominance.
Uhuru must build consensus on the Elections Act by dominating NASA into submission at zero option,” One of the students said during the show, as quoted by the local daily.
