President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday joined Kenyans in celebrating Mashujaa Day in Machakos County.
The well-attended ceremony was missed by Kibera residents who did not have enough fare to Machakos county.
However, the president wrote a letter to the residents which was read to them by the Deputy County Commissioner Nyamumbo Sese.
In his speech, the president urged the resident to maintain peace since it is the key for development.
Uhuru called upon all youths not to be incited to cause violence nor engage in unlawful acts like theft and robbery.
He also thanked them for working hand in hand with his government since he took over office.
