Former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s swearing-in on Tuesday, next week will not dampen NASA’s push for electoral justice and reforms.Muthama said NASA will continue with its agenda whether Uhuru is sworn in as president or not.In an interview with the Standard on Tuesday, the former Senator said NASA will not fear or feel intimidated as they continue to push for electoral reforms.Muthama said NASA is determined to ensure Kenyans are given another opportunity to elect their president.“Uhuru’s planned swearing-in next week does not and will not change NASA’s plan and agenda for electoral reforms,” said the former Senator.Muthama argued that Uhuru’s re-election in the October 26 repeat poll was not legitimate, adding that the Supreme Court erred in upholding his win.He claimed that the entire election process was marred by massive irregularities.Muthama further argued that majority of Kenyans are not comfortable having Uhuru as their president, adding that the Jubilee administration should ready for a tough time ahead.Muthama said NASA will use constitutional means to push its agenda forward.Uhuru’s win in the October 26 repeat poll was upheld by the Supreme Court on Monday.The judges, in a unanimous decision, said that the petitions challenging Uhuru’s win lacked merit.Uhuru will now be sworn in for a second term on Tuesday next week.
