There was a clash at the Supreme Court on Tuesday between Lawyers representing President Kenyatta and those standing in for the Independence Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC).
This happened during the pretrial conference for the petitions filed at the court challenging president Uhuru’s win.
President Uhuru’s counsel lead by senior counsel Fred Ngatia had asked the court to annul documents filed by the petitioners.
However, Wafula Chebukati’s lawyer Kimani Muhoro stated that he was against throwing out of the documents filed by the petitioners.
Asked why he was against it, Muhoro said that there was no offense in the fact that the documents were filed late putting into consideration the busy nature of the Supreme Court registry.
The lawyer said they have all had issues at the registry due to long queues and it would be unfair to lock the documents out basing on that.
