President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto to join his Jubilee Party.

Ruto is one of the five National Super Alliance (NASA) principals.

Speaking during a Jubilee rally in Njoro, Nakuru County on Saturday, Uhuru said that Ruto would not have become governor in 2013 if they did not support his bid.

The President and his deputy, William Ruto, noted that the Chama Cha Mashinani leader was ungrateful despite their support to him four years ago.

Governor Ruto declined to join the Jubilee merger last year

"Kweli wazungu walisema asante ya punda ni mateke, (it is true what the Whiteman said, a donkey is ungrateful and kicks instead of saying thank you)," Uhuru said.

The Jubilee leaders who are seeking a second term in office, said that the Opposition leader had no concrete plan for the country.

Uhuru asked Kenyans to shun leaders with no agenda and instead elect them.

“Opposition leaders are now thriving on propaganda and politics based on tribalism to achieve their selfish ends,” he said.

DP Ruto on his part stated that NASA leaders had resorted to borrowing Jubilee’s development agenda for the country because they have nothing new to offer Kenyans.

“Opposition leaders are clueless because they keep on discussing Jubilee instead of telling Kenyans what they have for them. Don’t be copy cats, come up with original ideas if you want Kenyans to take you seriously,” Ruto told NASA leaders.

NASA leaders were in Kakamega County on Saturday in a bid to consolidate support of the Western region.
