Jubilee leaders from the Rift Valley region have expressed optimism that President Uhuru Kenyatta will win repeat election slated for October 26, 2017.Nandi Senator Kiprotich Cherargei said he was confident that voters will turn up in large numbers to reelect the Head of State."Uhuru's votes in the Rift Valley region are intact. I have no doubt that he will defeat his main challenger Raila Odinga of NASA," the senator said.Tinderet Member of Parliament Julius Melly said the area JP leaders have embarked on aggressive campaigns to ensure their favorite candidate retains power."We are targeting a 100 per cent voter turnout and will ensure that those who voted otherwise on August 8 cast their votes for President Kenyatta," Kelly told The Standard on Wednesday.The legislator added: "Everything is now in top gear and we will ensure that we are at the grassroots every weekend to reach out to voters."Jubilee's efforts to consolidate support in the Rift were recently boosted after former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto led a group of leaders who had joined NASA return to the ruling coalition.The politicians pledged to work with Deputy President William Ruto and KANU's chairman Gideon Moi to ensure Uhuru gets another term in the country's highest office.
