Opposition activists have threatened to disrupt President Uhuru Kenyatta's rally when he visits Nyamira County on Thursday.
Led by youth leader Nyambega Gisesa, the activists said they expect the Head of State to apologise to the people of Nyamira for his attacks on their 'son' Chief Justice David Maraga."We are not going to take it lightly with the President. He has to apologise first before addressing us," Gisesa said.Kenyatta has been firing harsh words at Maraga after the Supreme Court overturned his August 8 election victory. On September 1, the top court nullified Kenyatta's win citing irregularities and illegalities in the electoral process. The President launched an attack on the judges referring to them as crooks (wakora). He also accused them of subverting the will of Kenyans by annulling the presidential election."What happened is a judicial coup. A coup in Kenya has just been done by the four people in the Supreme Court," Kenyatta said after the ruling.
