President Uhuru Kenyatta has issued a stern warning to anyone intending to cause chaos and violence during the October 17 polls saying they will be dealt with by the full force of the law.
The Head of State spoke during a delegation meeting that saw over 10,000 people Gusii community at State House, Nakuru
“Even as we preach peace, we will not tolerate those planning to cause mayhem and destruction of property. We will deal with you properly,” he said.
President Kenyatta explained how the Jubilee administration had put in work to guarantee peace and harmony in the country and because of that he will not tolerate the ill will of those intending to create chaos.
“Why would one set on fire his neighbour’s kiosk? Why?” he posed.
He emphasized that Kenyans should protect peaceful conditions throughout the country and should not allow politics to divide them along tribal lines.
He also expressed his frustration with the ruling by the Supreme Court claiming it was unjustified.
“I need to be very honest with you. I have feelings just like any other human being and if I say I was not angry and disappointed, I would be lying." he said.
However, President Kenyatta said he has nothing personal against Chief Justice David Maraga.
