Kajiado governor David Nkedianye says president Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are not welcome to campaign in the county should they not stick to real issues.
Kenyatta and Ruto have been leading a charm offensive against opposition leaders across the country and have often been accused of treading with propaganda.
And speaking a Nakel on Thursday, Nkedianye accused the two leaders of polarizing the country at the critical moment by engaging in fictitious political campaigns.
“If they can’t come here and tell us why we have bad roads and high cost of living, they we have no business with them as a people,” he said.
The ODM governor added: “It is good to be factual and objective. You can’t campaign on propaganda and expect us to listen to you.”
Remarks that ODM leader Raila Odinga was planning to reignite cases that had faced the two at the International Criminal Court dominated the meeting.
More often than not, Kenyatta on his part has been accusing the opposition of thriving on propaganda rather than addressing issues facing the country.
