President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were on Wednesday forced to address the lack of the government subsidised flour.

The two Jubilee leaders who were in Busia county during a Jubilee campaign rally to hunt votes, were asked by the locals to explain why it was hard to access the GOK ‘unga’ across the country yet the government had imported maize from Mexico.

Uhuru and Ruto were forced to tell the public that that the situation will be resolved. This after shouts of unga rented the air.

“As any responsible government, we sat aside Ksh 6 billion to import maize. We therefore want to assure Kenyans that this issue will be resolved. You should not worry, let’s be patient,” Ruto pleaded with the residents.

The duo further cautioned strict action will be taken to those traders found selling the subsidised flour at higher prices.
