A group of Integrated displaced persons from Nandi County have threatened to vote for NASA if the government does not compensate them.

They have issued the government with an ultimatum upto the August 8 polls.

The more than 5,000 IDPs, who comprise forest evictees and victims of the 2007 post-election violence, maintain that they have to be compensated for the suffering and losses they incurred during the chaos and forest evictions.

They have accused the government of failing to fulfil their promise to compensate them in two weeks’ time during their recent tour of the county.
