A secret survey by intelligence team NIS shows that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have to do ‘extra’ to contain NASA wave in Rift Valley region.
Last week, the DP was openly defied at Iten and some parts of Kericho with a group of residents chanting pro-NASA slogans.
And a source privy to Jubilee campaigns says NASA’s popularity has surged to 40 percent from initial 32 percent, a move that has caused jitters within Uhuru’s camp.
“Not so good because NASA keeps improving all the time and they are now at 40 percent,” he told the reporter in confidence.
The source added: “We shall see more forays by Jubilee to the region and particularly the two principals.”
Recently, a team led by Baringo senator Gideon Moi threatened to match out of Jubilee accusing the DP of sabotage to KANU candidates.
In Pokot last week, the DP openly came under fire when he backed Governor Simon Kachapin a move that caused fury to Senator John Longanyapuo’s supporters.
Closely associated with NASA’s fortunes in Rift Valley is Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto, who has been leading a series of campaigns in the past few months.
