The former vice president, who spoke during a campaign rally at Enoosaen town in Narok County, said that the two leaders stand no chance of re-election because they have failed Kenyans.

The Ukambani political kingpin said that the Jubilee government has not fulfilled most of the pre-election pledges, adding that it has to leave power when that time comes.

"Imagine we are left with exactly 40 days to the elections. We are counting the '40 days of a thief' for Jubilee to go home," Kalonzo said, as quoted by Star.

He also called upon the resident to turn out in large numbers in order to elect National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Amolo Odinga to take over leadership when that time comes.

The former vice president said that Raila is the right man to correct the mistakes the current leadership has made in the past general elections.

The remarks come a few days after the alliance launched its manifesto. The opposition has promised to transform different sectors if elected into power in August. This is the last time Uhuru and Raila will be facing off.
