A storm is brewing among Jubilee leaders in Taita Taveta ahead of the repeat presidential election slated for October 26.According to the Nation, supremacy battles being witnessed among the leaders are likely to hurt President Uhuru Kenyatta’s vote hunt mission in the county.Poll losers and winners in the county have continued to differ over who should spearhead Jubilee campaigns in the region, as Uhuru prepares to square it out with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga, who is taking a fourth stab at the presidency.A team led by County Jubilee Youth League Chairman Hezron Mwashighadi has now claimed that campaign funds are disappearing into the pockets of self-centered politicians.Mwashighadi said the move is likely to affect the performance of the party in the fresh polls."There are staunch Jubilee supporters in the county who are confused on how to undertake the campaigns without funds yet the concerned leaders are silent on this issue,” said Mwashighadi, as quoted by the local daily. His remarks were reiterated by the group’s secretary Mnjala who called upon the party’s top brass to do away with all the leaders who lost during the August general election for the sake of Uhuru’s re-election.
