President Uhuru Kenyatta shared a podium for the first time in as many months with his arch-rival Raila Odinga, thanks to Archbishop of Centerbury Justin Welby.
For two months now, the two leaders are embroiled a in a tough political contest which has reportedly led to the death of over 50 people.
And in a rare occurrence, the two shared a platform at ACK's All Saints Cathedral for celebrations making its establishment in the country.
Welby, a celebrated Church leader and a close friend of Odinga, endorsed Uhuru's controversial election in the October repeat poll.
Early October, Odinga paid a courtesy call to Welby in his London home where he reportedly prayed for him.
Although he has not met the two leaders separately, his being in the country my quell raising tensions after the two leaders met.
Odinga's NASA has warned of a resistance movement which he says will spearhead protests to 'restore' constitutionalism in the country.
