Nakuru town is soon to be an official beneficiary of The Specsavers Edgware Optic Company following an appeal by one of its employees to receive donations from the United Kingdom and distribute them to needy children in Nakuru.
Sarah Cutten, who works at the Broadwalk Shopping centre branch of the company, took the chance to use the company broad base of customers to seek donations in clothing, money and stationery items for the children of Nakuru.
“What we really want to do create a meaningful impact to these children, not only through donations but through extensive mentorship programs that will help them become self- sufficient in the future,” said Miss Cutten.
She added saying that the campaign will run to March 15, just ten days shy of her departure from the UK back to Nakuru where the donations will be distributed periodically to the needy children.
Specsave Edgewear is one of the leading optic companies in the United Kingdom.
