Malombe says that Ukambani is firmly in NASA and will vote for Raila Odinga.

Speaking to supporters in Mwingi Town on Tuesday, the Wiper governor tore into Jubilee’s recent tour of Ukambani terming it a waste of time.

‘‘The Kamba community is firmly and solidly in NASA and anyone thinking that we (Kambas) will vote for Jubilee he or she must be mentally sick,’’ he said as quoted by the Standard.

Malombe said that Jubilee is using fake promises to bait votes. He criticized UhuRuto’s government saying that it has marginalized the community in terms of development.

‘‘They (Jubilee) are only interested in our votes and have no development agenda for us,’’ he said.

Malombe said that Jubilee will not survive the NASA political wave on August.

He said that the country is yearning for new leadership adding that it’s time for UhuRuto to pack their luggage and exit State House.

On Tuesday during a campaign tour of Machakos, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto asked locals to vote in their favour.

UhuRuto asked residents to reject NASA saying the alliance does not have a development agenda for Kenyans.

Both Jubilee and NASA are fighting for the over 1.2 Million Kamba votes.

The region overwhelmingly voted for the opposition in 2013 but political analysts observe that things could change this time round as Jubilee has gained ground in the region.
