The MPs claim that Kalonzo has been shortchanged by Cord leader Raila Odinga.

Led by Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambo, the MPs claim that Odinga is taking Kamba people for a ride.

“We will not allow ourselves to be used and dumped and we call upon Kalonzo to ditch Cord and start re-strategizing ahead of the 2017 polls,” said Mutambo.

He accused Odinga of being deceitful adding that Kamba people will not allow themselves to be used.

“It is time Kalonzo woke up and moved away from Cord if he wants to be part of leadership in this country,” said Richard Makenga, the Kaiti MP during a pres conference at Parliament Buildings on Tuesday.

The MPs said that they will not allow to be used as ‘flower girls’.

The MPs calls for Kalonzo to ditch Cord came after Cord leader Raila Odinga on Monday claimed that the Memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by Cord in 2013 no longer exists.

There have been claims that Musyoka is being wowed by the Jubilee government claims the former Vice President has denied saying that he is a member of Cord.

Musyoka has also declared interest in the presidential seat in the 2017 general elections.

There have been speculations that Kalonzo is contemplating ditching Cord in favour of the ruling Jubilee ahead of the 2017 general elections.

There are also speculations that Kalonzo is part of the Ukambani delegation that will welcome President Uhuru Kenyatta when he will tour the region from May 19.

President Kenyatta is expected in Ukambani in a tour meant to woe locals to support his re-election come 2017.
