Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka has laughed off Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s claim that defectors who ditched the party to join Jubilee will not be re-elected in 2017.

Munyaka says that Kalonzo is dreaming stating that Wiper defectors will be massively voted back under Jubilee Party in 2017.

Speaking in Machakos town on Thursday, the MP said that all legislators who defected from the Kalonzo led party and others to join President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party will win in 2017.

“Kalonzo should know that we quit Wiper because the electorate wanted us to do so,” he said.

The MP said that threats by Kalonzo to lead a campaign against the defectors will not scare them.

He stated that their decision to with the party was based on development issues.

Munyaka claimed that Wiper party is still shocked on their defection.

“These people know that they are no more following our defection and are looking for ways of bringing us back,” he claimed.

The MP also laughed off Kalonzo’s claim that Ukambani region is a Cord stronghold.

He said that the region no longer ascribes to the opposition politics.

“Ukambani locals have embraced change and will work with the Jubilee government for the sake of development,” he said.

During the Mashujaa day celebrations at Kenyatta stadium in Machakos, Kalonzo said that the party will lead campaigns against the defectors.

Kalonzo said that defectors betrayed the party that took them to office IN 2013.

The Wiper leader also officially handed over the defectors to the President Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee Party.
