Suna East MP Junnet Mohammed has laughed off President Uhuru Kenyatta’s trips to vote rich Ukambani region insisting that they will yield nothing.
Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto have pitched tent in an area perceived to be stronghold of opposition leader Kalonzo Musyoka, urging locals to support government.
Speaking in Laikipia on Tuesday, Mohammed accused the President of politicizing development and warned of political rebellion in 2017 elections.
“I want to tell the President that he is wasting time in Ukambani. Kambas are not myopic people who can be hoodwinked by election oriented projects,” he said.
“He has been ignoring regions perceived to be opposition strongholds and the trend will remain the same. He is a tired president who should not even think of going to the ballot in 2017,” he added.
Mohammed said Kenya was likely to be a failed state should Jubilee administration get re-elected, citing grand corruption as the major area that Jubilee had allegedly failed to handle.
