For a long time, Governor Mutua has been accused of working directly with Jubilee government despite being elected on a Wiper Party ticket.

Mutua has defended himself by saying that he is development oriented unlike him (Kalonzo Musyoka) who has been a veteran politician for more than thirty years but Kamba land always relies on food donation with poor access to essential services like water and health.

"Even if I work with the government of the day, it's for the benefit of those who voted me in," he said in a rally.

Last week, Mr Musyoka gave an ultimatum to the governor to appear in public within seven day after which he'd take an unspecified action on the governor.

This was after a long three week stay outside the country without leaving his leadership roles to his deputy, Bernard Kiala as guaranteed by the constitution.

When Dr Mutua appeared in public on Sunday, he accused his party boss for undermining him as a governor and trying to lobby with the elected leaders to ouster the governor, a move that was unsuccessful. He further said that he was on official duty abroad to wow potential investors to the county a mission he termed as a success.

He looks forward to have a fruit canning company to make blended juice mostly from mangoes and also secured jobs for youths in his county. Mutua found his house out of order since his deputy had already fired two county ministers and reinstated three who had earlier been sacked on claims of corruption by the governor.

Mutua who has always taken it easy as cheap politics from other leaders from his county to undermine his Maendeleo Chap Chap to the common mwananchi took it verbal to accuse Musyoka of trying to undermine him politically when he is in a bid to better the lives of Machakos residents.

Mutua who have been voted twice as the best performing governor in the country, earlier this year unveiled his Maendeleo Chap Chap movement in an aim to develop his county fast, efficiently, economically and in a more transparent manner.

Mps who have been allied to him were previously manhandled while trying to attend a meeting which Musyoka was also present.

The governor has since denied defecting Wiper Party though he claims Maendeleo Chap Chap is social-political movement whose aim is to deliver development agenda in his county.

He invites all like-minded people and friends of Machakos county to join the movement.
