Mbooni Member of Parliament Kisoi Munyao has exuded confidence that Jubilee Party will win a number of seats in Ukambani region during the forthcoming general elections.

Munyao ditched Wiper Party for Jubilee alongside a host of other Kamba MPs.

In a telephone interview with the Star Newspaper on Monday, the lawmaker noted that Opposition alliance NASA has nothing to offer Kenyans, vowing to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta in Ukambani ahead of the August polls.

“We must tell our people the truth - that the opposition has nothing to offer,” he said.

He further observed that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka's decision to deputize NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga for the second time would greatly play to the advantage of Jubilee in the Lower Eastern region.

“If you listened to Wiper leaders who met in Machakos on Friday last week, none of them addressed the issues affecting our people. They had hoped Kalonzo would run for the presidency, but he didn’t make it," he said.

"The time has come for change and we are up to the task of taking our people back to the government for their share,'' he added.

The region voted overwhelmingly for the Raila - Kalonzo ticket during the 2013 general elections.
